Career: Started painting in the mid 80's at the age of 13 but with a deep understanding far beyond his years. Enduring many dramatic events during his childhood, the art of creating started as an outlet that released his inner thoughts and demons. He was quickly recognized as a rising young talent and made an immediate impact on the European Art world but could rarely be persuaded to sell his works. He spent some time in France, Spain, the USA and traveled to (among others) Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Dominican Republic, Denmark, Tunis, Greece, Poland, The United Kingdom, Japan, Romania, Honduras... His experiences abroad combined with his earlier dramatic life contributed to the deviation from the standard creative process by reflecting the feelings and emotions he experienced on those locations .
His excellent color manipulations suggest dynamics and spontaneity. His paintings represent colorful expressions of the most inner feelings sometimes combined with an aggressive style. For all his apparent openness in feelings and emotions, there remains always, yet delicate, an undercurrent of unhappiness, although less distinctive near his mid 90's period.
During the years he grew dramatically in his artistic knowledge and development of his personality. Despite the progressive diminishment of the unhappy undercurrent and mixed emotions in his paintings, he did destroy most of his early work around 1997, refused to create new ones and stopped painting all together.
Fortunately, since 2005 new work suddenly appeared although scarce and still famously hard to find. Only 4 works are said to ever have left his personal collection.
Particular style features: he never paints with a brush but rather things like wooden blocks, scrap iron, plastic debris, fingers, ... although none of these materials ever stay behind on the paintings themselves, only the effects or impressions.
